FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Education has always been a primary goal of Wine Spectator magazine. Proceeds from the NY Wine Experience support the Wine Spectator Scholarship Foundation, which provides grants and scholarships to a wide variety of wine-related and culinary programs. To date, more than $30 million has been raised, made possible by the generosity of vintners around the world, who donate the wine for the Wine Experience Grand Tastings and seminars, as well as the thousands of wine lovers who attend the event each year.

While there are no required health and safety protocols for the New York Wine Experience (proof of vaccination is not required to attend), however as a courtesy to all of those attending, we request that all attendees please consider the following

Please consider taking a COVID-19 rapid at-home test the day before the event.

If you have a positive result, we respectfully request that you do not attend the event. Questions regarding a positive test result can be directed to events@mshanken.com.

If you wish to wear a mask and have forgotten one we will be supplying them at Will Call upon request.

Admission for one person to: Friday and Saturday seated daytime wine seminars, Friday and Saturday wine-pairing luncheons, 6:00 pm VIP Early Access entry for Thursday and Friday evening Critics’ Choice Grand tastings, and admission for the closing Champagne Reception on Saturday evening. You must be 21 or older to attend.
Seminars are only included in the Weekend Package. Individual seminar tickets are not available for purchase.
Individual tickets for the Champagne Reception are not available for purchase. Only Weekend Registrants may attend the Champagne Reception.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

WEEKEND PACKAGE: A full refund is available until June 1st, 2024. After that date, until August 1st, 2024, there is a $500 per person cancellation fee. After August 1st, there are no refunds. Registrations may be transferred to another person at any time. Registrations can be cancelled by logging into your registration using the 'Already Registered?' link.

VIP EARLY ACCESS TICKETS:

A full refund is available until August 31, 2024. After that there are no refunds.

VIP Early Access (6:00pm entry) tickets for the Grand Tastings are only available for purchase with a Weekend Package. Weekend Registrants can purchase up to (2) additional VIP Early Access tickets per evening. VIP Early Access tickets are not available for purchase to the general public.
Yes, there will be a light buffet with a variety of options to enjoy during the tasting.
Yes, there will be a coat check.
Yes, we will share the tasting map closer to the event date.
All General Admission ticket sales for the Critics’ Choice Grand Tastings are final sale. Tickets may be transferred to another person at any time. The name on the ticket does not need to be changed. Questions about your tickets? Please email events@mshanken.com.
